Mt.Fuji Jukai Forest, Caves, and Saiko Lake

2016 August 11 (Thursday *NH)

Narusawa, Yamanashi

Let's go trekking on the first ever "Mountain Day" holiday in Japan!

You may have heard rumours of the Mt.Fuji's Aokigahara Jukai forest, but there are many nice trekking routes in the untouched nature. The trekking is very flat and easy to walk and you will be immersed in breathtaking scenery.

The area is also known for the hundreds of icy caves, which are a great way to escape the summer heat. Bring a headlight for a mini caving adventure!

Finish the trekking at an onsen by Saiko lake, one of the five lakes around Mt.Fuji. The lake has amazing views of Mt.Fuji and the water is crystal clear you might even want to take a quick dip.

A trip to discover another Kanto area hidden gem!
