Join Swim Bike Run Japan's annual boot camp!

This trip features:

  • The clean and beautiful Yumigahama beach
  • Two days of beach fun
  • Swim Bike Run Japan boot camp
  • Calm, mild and flat ocean ideal for open water swimming
  • Two open water swimming sessions: 1.5k each on Saturday and Sunday morning
  • 50k bike ride while enjoying Izu's dramatic coastline view (Road/cross bike rental available)
  • Two running sessions; 5k on Saturday and 10k on Sunday
  • Hawaiian theme beach party on Saturday night
  • Hangout and party with about 30 beach and sports loving folks
  • FRIDAY NIGHT ACCOMMODATION OPTION (for only 3,000yen), just let us know when you signup

Of course, all Swim Bike Run boot camp activities are optional. You can join any or nothing at all and just hangout on the beach all weekend and do absolutely whatever you want! :)

Trip Itinerary

    Saturday (Aug 20)

    • Meet some members at Shinagawa station at 6:35am (on the train platform infront of car no. 2 of the 6:43am Tokaido line train bound for Atami)
    • Get on the train
    • Chat with some members and/or catch up on your sleep
    • Arrive at Izukyu-Shimoda station at 9:52am
    • Meet the guide and the rest of the group outside by the bus stop
    • Get on the 10am Tokai bus (Bus stop No. 4) bound for Yumigahama onsen
    • Arrive at Yumigahama beach around 10:25am
    • Short walk to the beach front minshuku and check-in
    • 1.5 k open water swimming (11am-12pm)
    • Have lunch
    • 50k bike ride around/along the coast of Izu Peninsula (1:30pm-4pm)
    • 5k beach run (4pm-5)
    • Enjoy a cold shower and change to your Hawaiian attire
    • Dinner at the beach front restaurant (with a nice open air wooden deck)
    • Hawaiian beach theme party until you drop

    Sunday (Aug 21)

    • Have breakfast
    • 1.5 k open water swimming (10am-11)
    • 10k challenging run (11am-1pm)
    • Have lunch
    • Take the bus and train back to Tokyo anytime you want after the boot camp

Important Notes

  • Itinerary may vary due to the weather and other unavoidable circumstances.
  • You MUST have your own insurance (health, social, company, etc.) to be able join.
  • This event is ON rain or shine!
  • FRIDAY NIGHT ACCOMMODATION OPTION (for only 3,000yen), just let us know when you signup. There will be around 8-10 of us taking this option.
  • Swim Bike Run boot camp activities are optional. You can join any or nothing at all and just hangout on the beach all weekend and do absolutely whatever you want! :)
  • Road and cross bikes rental available on a first-come/first-served basis.
  • There are lots of restaurants and bars at the beachfront.
  • Rooms are allocated to your preference (M/F only, group of friends, etc.).
  • Minimum of 3 and maximum of 5 persons per room.
  • Private room for couples available at extra cost.
  • Parking lot available (for a fee) in case you want to come by car.
  • Final details will be sent to the participants by email two days before the event.
