Snow action

Friday (Jan 8)

  • Meet in Shinjuku at 7:45pm
  • Get on the bus
  • Have some drinks, chat with other members and get excited
  • Short stop for food/snacks on the way
  • Arrive in Hakuba around 0:30am
  • Check-in at the hotel
  • Take a quick hot shower/bath
  • Sleep (or have drinks at the lobby)

Saturday (Jan 9)

  • Breakfast at 7:30am
  • Get the gear on
  • Ski/snowboarding at Hakubagoryu & 47 (8:30am-5pm)
  • Take a hot shower/bath
  • Relax/have some drinks
  • Dinner at 6pm
  • Group party at the hotel's club/bar (DJ Arex)

Sunday (Jan 10)

  • Breakfast at 7:30am
  • Get the gear on
  • Ski/snowboarding at Hakuba Cortina (8:30am-5pm)

Important Notes

  • Itinerary may vary due to the weather, traffic conditions, and other unavoidable circumstances.
  • Ski/snowboarding off-piste is strictly prohibited.
  • You MUST have your own insurance (health, social, company, etc.) to be able join.
  • The hotel we're staying is a nice and clean Western style hotel with bed and bathrooms in all rooms.
  • Rooms will be allocated to your preference.
  • Minimum of 4 and maximum of 5 persons per room.
  • Male/Female only rooms are available.
  • Group of friends can have their own room.
  • Private room for 2 persons and 3 persons available for an extra fee on a first-come/first-served basis (limited rooms).
  • Restaurants and shops in the ski resorts don't accept credit cards so please bring enough cash.
  • Lunch not provided but available at the ski resort.
  • There will be a 3,000yen fee for ski/snowboard boots JPN size 28.5 and above.
  • Free ski/snowboarding lesson is on Saturday (Jan 9) from 9:30am until 12:30pm.
  • Lift pass will not be provided if you avail the beginners discount.
  • You don't need a lift pass to join our free ski/snowboarding lessons. However, if you're a fast learner and would want to ride the chairlifts, you can buy a "ride ticket" which costs around 300-350yen per ride. On average, beginners only take the chairlifts 4-5 times the entire weekend. Some beginners, not at all!
  • We will try to accommodate all dietary requirements. However, we are unable to guarantee the hotel/lodge can cater for every meal.
  • Soap, shampoo and rinse are provided in the bath (ofuro).
  • Towels and toothbrush are provided.
  • You can send your gear by delivery service (takkyubin) to the hotel. Address will be provided upon request.
  • You must check out of your room before 10am on Monday (Jan 11), and put your belongings in the luggage room before going ski/snowboarding.
  • Everyone receives 1,000yen discount in the courtesy of the Nagano Prefectural Government to attract more tourists in the area.
  • Final details will be sent to the participants by email two days before the event.
