Trip Itinerary

Snow action

Friday (Feb 17)

  • Meet in Shinjuku at 7:30pm
  • Get on the bus
  • Have some drinks, chat with other members and get excited
  • Short stops for food/snacks on the way
  • Arrive in Hakuba around 0:30am
  • Check-in at the hotel
  • Go straight to sleep (or have a drink or two at the lobby)

Saturday (Feb 18)

  • Breakfast at 7:30am
  • Get the gear on
  • Ski/snowboarding at Hakubagoryu & 47 (8:30am-5pm)
  • Take a hot shower/bath
  • Relax/have some drinks
  • Dinner at 6pm
  • Apres-ski party at Bar Cross from 7:30pm until you drop

Sunday (Feb 19)

  • Breakfast at 7:30am
  • Get the gear on
  • Ski/snowboarding at Happo or Hakuba Cortina (8:30am-3pm)
  • Relax in the spa/onsen
  • Change clothes/get ready
  • Get on the bus at 4pm
  • Short stops for food/snacks on the way
  • Arrive back in Shinjuku around 8:45pm

Important Notes

  • Itinerary may vary due to the weather, traffic conditions, and other unavoidable circumstances.
  • Ski/snowboarding off-piste is strictly prohibited.
  • You MUST have your own insurance (health, social, company, etc.) to be able join.
  • Please bring enough cash on the trip. Credit cards are not widely accepted here in Japan. International (foreign) cash cards sometimes don't work on ATM's (if any) at the ski resort.
  • The hotel we're staying is a nice and clean Japanese style hotel with tatami rooms with toilet in each room.
  • Twin 'bed' rooms for 2 persons and a Tripe 'bed' room available for an extra fee on a first-come/first-served basis (limited rooms).
  • Rooms will be allocated to your preference.
  • Minimum of 4 and maximum of 5 persons for shared rooms.
  • Male/Female only rooms are available.
  • Group of friends can have their own room.
  • Restaurants and shops in the ski resorts don't accept credit cards so please bring enough cash.
  • Lunch not provided but available at the ski resort.
  • There will be a 3,000yen fee for ski/snowboard boots JPN size 29.5 and above.
  • Free ski/snowboarding lesson is on Saturday (Feb 18) from 9:30am until 12pm.
  • Lift pass will not be provided if you avail the beginners discount.
  • You don't need a lift pass to join our free ski/snowboarding lessons. However, if you're a fast learner and would want to ride the chairlifts, you can buy a "ride ticket" which costs around 300-350yen per ride. On average, beginners only take the chairlifts 4-5 times the entire weekend. Some beginners, not at all!
  • We will try to accommodate all dietary requirements. However, we are unable to guarantee the hotel/lodge can cater for every meal.
  • Soap, shampoo and rinse are provided in the bath (ofuro).
  • Towels and toothbrush are provided.
  • You can send your gear by delivery service (takkyubin) to the hotel. Address will be provided upon request.
  • You must check out of your room on Sunday (Feb 19), and put your belongings in the luggage room before going ski/snowboarding.
  • Final details will be sent to the participants by email two days before the event.
