Trip Itinerary

Monday (Dec 30)

  • Meet in Shinjuku at 7:30pm
  • Get on the bus
  • Have a relaxing drink, chat with other members and get excited
  • Short stops for food/snacks on the way
  • Arrive in Hakuba around 0:30am
  • Check-in at the hotel
  • Go straight to sleep (or lobby for a drink or two)

Tuesday (Dec 31)

  • Breakfast at 7:30am
  • Get the gear on
  • Ski/snowboarding at Happo (8:30am-5pm)
  • Enjoy the hot shower/bath or visit the local onsen nearby
  • Take a nap/relax/have some drinks
  • Dinner at 6pm
  • Apres-ski drinks at one of the nice local bars

Wednesday (Jan 1) *New Years Day

Important Notes

  • Itinerary may vary due to the weather, traffic conditions, and other unavoidable circumstances.
  • Ski/snowboarding off-piste is strictly prohibited.
  • The hotel we're staying is a nice and clean Japanese style hotel with tatami rooms and toilet in each room.
  • 'Twin Bed' rooms and a 'Triple Bed' room available for an extra fee on a first-come/first-served basis (limited rooms).
  • Rooms will be allocated to your preference.
  • Minimum of 3 and maximum of 4 persons for shared rooms.
  • Male/Female only rooms are available.
  • Group of friends can have their own room.
  • Restaurants and shops in the ski resorts don't accept credit cards so please bring enough cash.
  • Lunch not provided but available at the ski resort.
  • There will be a 4,000yen (for 4 days) extra fee for ski/snowboard boots JPN size 29.5 and above.
  • Free ski/snowboarding lesson is on Tuesday (Dec 31) from 9:30am until 12pm at Happo Sakka slope.
  • Lift pass will not be provided if you avail the beginners discount.
  • You don't need a lift pass to join our free ski/snowboarding lessons. However, if you're a fast learner and would want to ride the chairlifts, you can buy a "ride ticket" which costs around 300-350yen per ride. On average, beginners only take the chairlifts 4-5 times the entire weekend. Some beginners, not at all!
  • We will try to accommodate all dietary requirements. However, we are unable to guarantee the hotel/lodge can cater for every meal.
  • Soap, shampoo and rinse are provided in the bath (ofuro).
  • Towels and toothbrush are provided.
  • You can send your gear by delivery service (takkyubin) to the hotel. Address will be provided upon request.
  • You must check out of your room before 10am on Friday (Jan 3), and put your belongings in the luggage room.
  • Final details will be sent to the participants by email two days before the event.
