Trip Itinerary

  • Meet at JR Shinjuku station (Platform 12, infront of Car No. 2) at 11:15am
  • Get on the 11:22am Chuo line express train bound for Ome
  • Chat with other TG members and get excited
  • Transfer at Ome station on the Ome line train bound for Okutama
  • Arrive at Mitake station at 12:36pm
  • Meet the rest of the group
  • Short walk to the Rafting Base Center
  • Get the gear on
  • Safety talk and learn the basic paddling technique
  • Rafting (1:30pm-4)
  • Take a hot shower/enjoy a coffee or some beers
  • Get on the local train to Okutama
  • Enjoy the local festival
  • Try the local onsen (Optional)
  • Watch the Okutama Fireworks Festival
  • Take the train back to Tokyo with your new friends

Important Notes

  • Itinerary may vary due to the weather, and other unavoidable circumstances.
  • You MUST have your own insurance (health, social, company, etc.) to be able to join.
  • Meeting the group at Mitake station at 12:40pm is totally fine.
  • Rafting first-timers and beginners are totally welcome!
  • All rafting gear and equipment are provided.
  • The trip will proceed on time with or without you so please don't be late. Check your train times beforehand and spare some time as train connections can be complicated.
  • You can go back to Tokyo after rafting if you like if you have other plans on that evening.
  • Final details will be sent to the participants two days before the event.
