Important Notes

Mt. Mihara Trekking
  • Itinerary may vary due to the weather, traffic conditions, and other unavoidable circumstances.
  • We made this trip very cheap due to the financial support we will receive from the government for helping the local economy recover (by bringing tourists to the island) from the natural disaster occurred in October 2013. The casualty numbers were about 40 deaths and 80 houses were half or completely destroyed. It was caused by the large scale typhoon and following landslide.
  • You MUST have your own insurance (health, social, company, etc.) to be able join.
  • Reasonable fitness required.
  • Takeshiba pier is 10 minutes on foot from JR Hamamatsucho or Daimon station on the Oedo line and a minute from Takeshiba station on the Yurikamome line.
  • Ferry seats upgrade possible, just let us know upon booking.
  • Rooms will be allocated to your preference.
  • Minimum of 3 and maximum of 6 persons per room.
  • Male/Female only rooms are available.
  • Group of friends can have their own room.
  • You need a proper bike bag to bring your own bike.
  • Bike helmet is a MUST!
  • Most of the roads we will be on are paved rather than dirt tracks.
  • We'll stop for breaks at any interesting diversions so don't forget to wear your swimsuit under your clothes, always ready to strip off when we spot one of the gorgeous black sand beaches along the coast.
  • There will be one long and challenging climb (about 5kms). Don't worry, if you cannot ride uphill, you can walk your bike with one of the guides.
  • After climbing up the challenging hill, you will be rewarded with an awesome 20mins downhill ride (Please be really careful!).
  • Swimsuit is required in the outdoor onsen.
  • You can go scuba diving or snorkeling and/or just hangout on the beach if you are not up for biking and trekking.
  • Vegetarians will be accommodated!
  • Final details will be sent to the participants by email two days before the event.
