Enjoy the gorgeous nature while streaming down the river on a traditional wooden boat. See the beautiful and colorful Shibazakura festival while meeting new people and making new friends.

Trip Itinerary

  • Meet in Shinjuku at 7am
  • Get on the bus
  • Catch up on your sleep or chat with other members
  • Short stop for breakfast on the way
  • Arrive in Nagatoro around 10am
  • Wooden boat rafting, sightseeing and picnic by the river (10am-2pm)
  • Enjoy the Shibazakura festival (2pm-3:30)
  • Get on the bus
  • Short stop for some food/snacks on the way
  • Arrive back in Shinjuku around 7pm
  • Have some drinks with some people you have met on the trip

Important Notes

  • Itinerary may vary due to the weather, traffic conditions, and other unavoidable circumstances.
  • You MUST have your own insurance (health, social, company, etc.) to be able to join.
  • Swimming skill NOT necessary for wooden boat rafting. Life vest is provided.
  • The Shibazakura festival is a 16,500sqm carpet of flowers blooming at it's peak during this time. Absolutely one of the most photogenic festivals in Japan.
  • Final details will be sent to the participants two days before the event.
