Bouldering, BBQ and Sake Tasting Trip

2020 July 12 (Sunday)

Mitake, Tokyo

Come boulder with us at the renowned Mitake Bouldering Area! Climbing routes from beginner (10級) to expert (4段)! If you've only ever climbed indoors or if you're a seasoned climber you're bound to find something challenging and fun!

We will be out climbing all day, and what better way to enjoy the outdoors than with a barbeque! Please bring your own food and more if you wish to share.

Important Notes

  • Itinerary may vary due to the weather and other unavoidable circumstances.
  • Bouldering is considerably more dangerous on wet rocks so in the event of rain the trip may be cancelled.
  • Maximum shoe size for rent is 28cm. The shop cannot provide larger sizes so please organize your own climbing shoes if you have large feet.
  • We encourage climbers to bring their own climbing shoes or try some on beforehand. The rental shop has a limited selection and may not be able to accomodate everyone.
  • The rental shop will safely store backpacks and electronics for a fee of 300yen.
  • As we cannot accomodate all dietary restrictions, food will not be provided by the guide. Mitake is a rural area and there are not many shops that sell food, so we recommend bringing food with you.
  • Some climbing routes go over water and there are small cliff jumping opportunites, bring a suit and towel if you wish to swim in the river.
  • The trip will proceed on time with or without you so please don't be late. Check your train times beforehand and spare some time as train connections can be complicated.
  • Sake tasting and onsen are optional. You can go back straight to Tokyo after bouldering if you want.
  • Final details will be sent to the participants two days before the event.
