Trip Itinerary

Friday (Mar 13)

  • Meet in Shinjuku at 7:30pm
  • Get on the bus
  • Have a relaxing drink, chat with other participants and get excited
  • Short stop for food/snacks on the way
  • Arrive in Shiga Kogen around 0:30am
  • Check-in at the hotel
  • Go straight to sleep (or have a drink or two at the lobby)

Saturday (Mar 14)

  • Breakfast at 7:30am
  • Get the gear on
  • Ski/snowboarding (8:30am-5pm)
  • Enjoy hot shower and big hot bath
  • Take a nap, relax and/or have some drinks
  • Dinner at 6pm
  • Fun apres-ski party

Sunday (Mar 15)

  • Breakfast at 7am
  • Check-out of the hotel
  • Get on the bus at 7:30am
  • Arrive in Nozawa Onsen around 8:30am
  • Ski/snowboarding (8:30am-3pm)
  • Enjoy the heated outdoor pool and onsen at Sparena
  • Change clothes/get ready
  • Get on the bus at 4pm
  • Short stop for food/snacks on the way
  • Arrive back in Shinjuku around 8:45pm

Important Notes

  • Itinerary may vary due to the weather, traffic conditions, and other unavoidable circumstances.
  • Ski/snowboarding off-piste is strictly prohibited.
  • Rooms will be allocated to your preference.
  • Minimum and maximum of 4 persons per room.
  • Male/Female only rooms are available.
  • Group of (4) friends can have their own room.
  • Private room for 2 or 3 persons available for an extra fee.
  • The hotel (almost ski-in ski-out) is located near Yakebitaiyama; the best powder snow and ski area in Shiga Kogen.
  • Lunch not provided but available at the ski resort.
  • Please bring enough cash on the trip. Credit cards are not widely accepted here in Japan. International (foreign) cash cards sometimes don't work on ATM's (if any) at the ski resort.
  • There is a 2,000yen extra fee for ski/snowboard boots JPN size 30.5 and above.
  • Free ski/snowboarding lesson is on Saturday (Mar 14) from 9:30am until 12pm.
  • Lift pass will not be provided if you avail the beginners discount.
  • You don't need a lift pass to join our free ski/snowboarding lessons. However, if you're a fast learner and would want to ride the chairlifts, you can buy a "ride ticket" which costs around 500yen per ride. On average, beginners only take the chairlifts 4-5 times the entire weekend. Some beginners, not at all!
  • We will try to accommodate all dietary requirements. However, we are unable to guarantee the hotel/lodge can cater for every meal.
  • Towels and toothbrush/toothpaste kit are provided.
  • Soap, shampoo and rinse are provided in the bath (ofuro).
  • You can send your gear by delivery service (takkyubin) to the hotel. Address will be provided upon request.
  • You must check out of your room before breakfast on Sunday (Mar 15), and put your belongings directly in the bus.
  • Final details will be sent to the participants by email two days before the event.
