Jogasaki Coast, Mt. Omuro and Hakone Shrine Trip

2021 July 11 (Sunday)

Shizuoka/Kanagawa

A short trek along jagged cliffs of Jogasaki Coast passing some scenic spots and historical landmarks.

Walk around the crater rim of an extinct volcano which offers 360° panoramic views that include Mount Fuji and Oshima Island.

Visit one of the most beautiful and photogenic shrines and torii gates in Japan to finish the day!

This Trip Features;

  • Jogasaki Coast - a stunning stretch of coast on the eastern side of the Izu peninsula. The coastline is famous for it’s jagged cliffs, beautiful views, Kadowaki Suspension Bridge and Lighthouse.
  • Mount Omuro - a 580m high extinct volcano near the eastern coast of the Izu Peninsula, shaped like an inverted rice bowl and has a beautiful silhouette that can be seen from most places in the Izu Kogen area.
  • Hakone Shrine - stands at the foot of Mount Hakone along the shores of Lake Ashi. The shrine buildings are hidden in the dense forest with huge torii gates, one standing prominently in the lake and two others over the main street of Moto-Hakone. The shrine is beautiful throughout the year, and is particularly breathtaking when shrouded in mist.

Another awesome outdoor adventure for all ages!
