Nozawa Onsen is one of Japanʼs most superb and expansive winter sports areas. Extending from the top to the foot of Mt. Kenashi (1,650m), it boasts an altitude differential of 1,085 meters and a total ski slope area of 297 hectares. Indeed, the resort ranks among the very top in Japan in terms of size, its history and snow quality. The abundance of 100% natural, high-quality powder snow allows you to enjoy ski/snowboarding well into early May. The unlimited variety of slopes and courses, including the exciting Snow Park, guarantees satisfaction to snow lovers of all levels from the advanced to beginners as well as families, providing all comers with the ideal playground to enjoy the ultimate in ski/snowboarding or whatever on-snow fun delights you.

* Fri (Dec 30)
  • Meet in Shinjuku at 7:20pm
  • Get on the bus
  • Have a relaxing drink, chat with other participants and get excited
  • Short stop for food/snacks on the way
  • Arrive in Nozawa Onsen around 0:15am
  • Walk to the hotel (6mins)
  • Check-in your room
  • Go straight to sleep (or have a drink at one of the local bars)
* Sat (Dec 31) New Year’s Eve
  • Breakfast at 7:30am
  • Get the gear on
  • Ski/snowboarding until 4:30pm
  • Apres-ski drinks at the Craft Room (3:30pm-6)
  • Visit one of the FREE or PAID onsens
  • Dinner at one of the restaurants in town (not provided)
  • Group party at the Craft Room from 9pm until 11:30
  • Watch the fireworks display at Nagasaka ski area at midnight
  • Bar hopping until you drop
* Sun (Jan 1)
  • Breakfast at 7:30am
  • Get the gear on
  • Ski/snowboarding until 4:30pm
  • Apres-ski drinks at the Craft Room (3:30pm-6)
  • Visit one of the FREE or PAID onsens
  • Dinner at one of the restaurants in town (not provided)
  • Group drinks at one of the local bars

  • Breakfast at 7:30am
  • Get the gear on
  • Check-out of your room
  • Ski/snowboarding until 3pm
  • Visit one of the FREE or PAID onsens
  • Change clothes, pack and get ready
  • Get on the bus at 4pm
  • Short stops for food/snacks on the way
  • Arrive back in Shinjuku around 8:45pm

  • Itinerary may vary due to the weather, traffic conditions, COVID-19 restrictions and other unavoidable circumstances.
  • To avail the Go To Travel discount, you must provide a photocopy of your triple (or more) vaccination certificate AND any government ID (residence card, driver’s license, social insurance card, etc.) proving that you are a Japan resident.
  • You can also provide a negative COVID-19 test certificate at least 48 hours before the tour if you are not vaccinated three times (or more) but wants to enjoy the discount.
  • SOFA, business, tourist and temporary visa holders cannot avail the Go To Travel campaign price.
  • You will be refunded (if you paid the regular price) on the day once we can confirm that you are entitled to the subsidy.
  • The hotel/lodge is nice, clean and well located, only 3 or 5 mins walk to/from Nagasaka gondola.
  • Rooms will be allocated to your preference.
  • Minimum and maximum of 4 persons per room.
  • Male/Female only rooms are available.
  • Group of (4) friends can have their own room.
  • Some restaurants and shops in the ski resorts don’t accept credit cards so please bring enough cash.
  • Lunch and dinner not provided but available at the ski resort.
  • Free snowboarding lesson is on Saturday (Dec 31) from 9:30am until 12pm.
  • Soap, shampoo and rinse are provided in the bath (ofuro).
  • Bath and face towels are included in the room.
  • You can send your gear by delivery service (takkyubin) to the lodge. Address will be provided upon request
  • You must check out of your room before 10am on Monday (Jan 2), and put your belongings in the luggage room before going somewhere.
  • Final details will be sent to the participants by email two days before the event.
