This Trip Features;
- Fuji Shibazakura Festival – One of Japan’s most famous seasonal events, the Fuji Shibazakura Festival showcases stunning fields of vibrant pink moss (shibazakura, also called phlox moss). Located about 3 km south of Lake Motosu, the colorful flower fields create a breathtaking landscape, especially on clear days when Mt. Fuji rises majestically in the background.
- Shiraito Falls – Recognized as one of Japan’s most beautiful waterfalls, Shiraito Falls sits in the southwestern foothills of Mt. Fuji. The waterfall spans about 150 meters wide and is fed by the mountain’s pure spring water. Dozens of delicate streams flow over a 20-meter cliff, forming silky white strands that resemble hanging threads—giving the falls their poetic name.
- Otodome Waterfall – Located just a short walk from Shiraito Falls, this powerful waterfall provides a striking contrast to Shiraito’s gentle beauty. Otodome Waterfall features a dramatic 25-meter-high single cascade plunging into a rocky basin below. Because the two waterfalls are so close together, they are commonly visited as a pair, allowing visitors to experience two very different expressions of Mt. Fuji’s natural waters.
- Gotemba Kogen Resort – Nestled in a scenic valley at the base of Mt. Fuji, Gotemba Kogen Resort offers a relaxing stop during the trip. Enjoy excellent restaurants, rejuvenating hot springs, and a local microbrewery. It’s the perfect place to unwind while taking in the spectacular surroundings.

- Arrive at Gotemba Koren Resort & Brewery around 2:30pm

- The trip will take place rain or shine.
- Early to mid-May is typically the peak blooming season for the Fuji Shibazakura Festival and offers the best photo opportunities. However, bloom timing can vary slightly each year. Please understand that weather and flowering conditions are beyond our control, and the trip cannot be rescheduled.
- Please arrive on time for the scheduled bus departure. The bus will depart as scheduled and cannot wait for late arrivals.
- Bringing a picnic lunch and drinks is recommended, as restaurants and shops may be very crowded during this busy season.
- If you plan to dine at the restaurant at Gotemba Kogen Resort, we recommend booking a table in advance. Our group is expected to arrive there between 2:30 PM and 4:00 PM (traffic permitting).
- Final trip details will be emailed to all participants two days before the event.
