Shirakawago and Hida Takayama Autumn Trip

An amazing weekend for all ages visiting some of the most beautiful and colorful sightseeing spots in Autumn!

This Trip Features;
  • Matsumoto Castle → originally known as Fukashi Castle, is one of Japan’s premier historic castles, along with Himeji and Kumamoto.
  • Daio Wasabi Farm → the largest and most photogenic wasabi farm in Japan where you try wasabi beer, ice cream and other delicacies made from wasabi.
  • Hida Takayama Old Town → beautifully preserved old buildings and streets of houses dating back from the Edo Period.
  • Hida Folk Village → open air museum exhibiting over 30 traditional houses built during the Edo Period including some ‘Gassho-Zukuri’ farmhouses.
  • Shirakawago → feel the vibe looking at and walking in and around traditional houses with thatched and steep roofs called ‘Gassho-Zukuri’ (A UNESCO World Heritage). Absolutely gorgeous sight to see when surrounded by colorful autumn leaves. We might get lucky and witness the simultaneous fire hose discharge conducted as training in preparation for fighting fires during the winter.
