* Friday (Feb 28)
  • Meet the group in Shinjuku at 7:15pm
  • Get on the bus
  • Have a relaxing drink, chat with other members and get excited
  • Short stops for food/snacks on the way
  • Arrive at our hotel in Yamagata around 0:30am
* Saturday (Mar 1)
  • Breakfast at 7:30am
  • Get on the bus at 8:15am
  • Arrive at Zao Onse Ski Resort around 9am
  • FREE TIME (Skiing/snowboarding, onsen, sake brewery, sightseeing, etc.)
  • Get on the bus at 1:15pm
  • Arrive at Yamadera Temple around 2pm
  • Explore the temple and hike up the 1,015 stone steps of Yamadera
  • Get on the bus at 3:45pm
  • Arrive at Ginzan Onsen around 4:45pm
  • Explore the small but magical town and take a lot of photos
  • Get on the bus at 6:30pm
  • Arrive back at our hotel around 7:15pm
  • Dinner/drinks at one of the local izakayas

  • Breakfast at 7:30am
  • Check-out of your room
  • Get on the bus at 8:15am
  • Arrive at Zao Onsen ski resort around 9am

  • Twin room is extra 2,000yen/person/night.
  • Lunch and dinner are not included.
  • There will be an extra fee for ski/snowboard boots JPN size 28.5 and above.
  • Free ski/snowboarding lesson is on the Saturday from 10am until 12pm.
  • You don’t need a lift pass to join our free ski/snowboarding lessons. However, if you’re a fast learner and would want to ride the chairlifts, you can buy a “ride ticket” which costs around 400-500yen per ride. On average, beginners only take the chairlifts 4-5 times the entire weekend. Some beginners, not at all!
  • Soap, shampoo and rinse are provided in the bath (ofuro).
  • You can send your gear by delivery service (takkyubin) to the hotel. Address will be provided upon request.
  • You must check out of your room on the Sunday, and put your belongings in the bus trunk. We’re not going back to the hotel anymore.
  • There are no higaeri onsens open/available at Ginzan Onsen for 1-day visitors from 1:30pm due to its popularity.
